Now the party season is upon us we teamed up with AQUIS Towels to create some inspiring hair tutorials.
When your hair is wet it is delicate, super stretchy, swollen and in need of some love. This is when the damage occurs that is the root cause of many hair problems such as frizz. It’s important to get it dry fast, but with as little friction as possible. Wrapping in AQUIS (rather than rubbing with regular towels) does just this. See for yourself in our How To Videos.
Fresh off the catwalks from Fashion Week, hair trends were the talk of the town for SS17. Braids, The Low Pony Tail and Sleek and Smooth were featured on and off the catwalks as designers Victoria Beckham, Alice & Olivia and Lanvin showcased their latest looks. Limoz Logli explains how to create catwalks styles.
SS17 Lanvin – the low ponytail
The Low Pony Tail:
The elegant low ponytail ruled the runway, repeatedly seen held back with black ribbon or simple hair ties. Limoz says, ‘Why not give your ponytail a bit of edge, by using a soft leather belt to secure around your hair tie; letting the belt end hang loose next to your ponytail. Remember to keep pony tail at the nape of the neck. It’s what makes this style feel modern.’
SS17 Alice and Olivia – Braids
Braids:
Braids are here to stay for SS17. One length hair suits braids best and this is a very easy way to get an effortless undone feel. Limoz says, ‘Dampen the hair to give it a slightly airy appearance blow-dry or leave to dry naturally. Tease the hair near the roots to add texture and volume. Part your hair down the centre, and then working on one section at a time create an inverted fishtail braid. Leave a small side section of your hair out of the braid and tong it to give the whole look a really textural look. I recommend using Ouai Texturising Hair Spray to hold the braid in place’.
Sleek and Smooth:
Slick and Sleek stole the shows this season. To replicate the looks seen on Victoria Beckham models, Limoz says,
’Apply a styling mousse onto wet hair, this will ensure the cuticles remain smooth when you apply heat. Create a clean centre parting with a pintail comb and always aim your hair dryer down towards the ends of the hair using a non-
ceramic bristle brush. For unruly hair run your straighteners gently through the length of the hair. Use a finishing spray to create a glossy look. To finish off Limoz recommends neatly tucking the hair behind the ears and use a finishing crème such as Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream to make sure it stays smoothed to your scalp all day.’
SS17 Rag and Bone Hair Style
SS17 Vera Wang Hair Style
SS17 Prabal Gurung Hair Style
The off-duty ‘perfectly undone hair’ style was in rotation on the SS17 runway. As seen on the catwalks of Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung and Vera Wang models sported high textured, effortless yet stylish hair. The perfectly undone mane screams bedhead beautiful with a touch of texture and definition.
Step into the new season with one of the hottest trends straight off the catwalk and have your own ‘perfectly undone’ hair styled at Limoz Logli.
Limoz Logli says, ‘the ‘undone’ trend is perfect for creating a wavy mane with limited hair damage and with as little effort as possible. Barely there texture is one of the look of the moments right now, it’s simple to recreate and leaves you with a classy yet relaxed style’
Limoz had the fantastic opportunity to head over to the HELLO offices last week and meet with the Hello Fashion team. Beth their beauty editor wanted Limoz to demonstrate how he achieves the chelsea knot via Facebook live!
